The bridging exercise is an important part of your recovery at Laser Spine Institute. This exercise will assist in adding strength and flexibility to the lumbar region of your spine.
Begin this exercise by lying on your back, with your knees bent and hip width apart.
Squeezing your stomach and hip muscles, lift your lower back off the surface one vertebra at a time. Only lift your body as far as it feels comfortable, making sure that your knees remain hip width apart.
This should be done five to 10 times per session, two to three times a day.
